Tannat Libero 2010
Winery De Lucca
90% Tannat, 5% Nero D'Avola, 5% San Giovese
The winemaker went back to his Italian roots with this wine. Its name, Libero (Free) comes from the concept that Reinaldo De Lucca applies when he makes wine, freedom. He says that when he feels free when he creates a wine and that the best creativity comes when we feel free.
Reinaldo planted the vines for this wine in the soil where his grandparents settled after arriving from Italy. He is blending the Uruguayan flagship grape, Tannat, with two Italian varieties, Nero D’Avola and Sangiovese.
This wonderful wine has an excellent structure, tannins are soft, sweet and sticky. Aromas of ripe plums, liquorice and mint. Fermented in oak barrels.
This wine is ready to drink now, but it will keep improving for the next 6 to 8 years.Price£12.00 per bottle
